So far I've read a little bit of my book. As I said before I have a short attention span when it comes to reading. It's also difficult because teachers have decided to give me a lot of homework so I don't have a lot of time to read. Finishing this project is going to be difficult but I will do it. I've already watched the movie and it's really good so I am determined to finish the book! This challenge has been teaching me that managing time is very important in doing projects and reading books. I wish I would have started the book early than I did but now I'll just have to read more per night so I can finish it. That is what I have learned during my 30 day challenge!

The Notebook part 2(:

So far I have noticed a couple differences between the book and the movie. I won't list any right now because then my presentaion will be boring! But I think for my presentation I'm definitely going to try to make a poster listing the differences and similarities. I'm not done reading the book yet but I watched the movie and it was really good yet, really sad! I can't wait to finish reading the book!

New 30 day challenge

For the next 30 days, I am going to embrace the challenge of reading the book "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks and watching the movie The Noteook that is based on the famous book. I am going to compare and contrast the two of them and look for the similarities between the two. This is going to be challenging for me because I have a very short attention span when it comes to reading. To present this project I think I am going to make a poster with all the similarities and differences between the movie and the book on it.

30 Day Challenge #2

This week I learned that the way you hold your arms is a very important part of turning. You're arms should remain in a line with you heart at all time to they are not too far up or too far down which would throw off your balance and make you fall out of your turns. This also helps you have stability the whole time you are turning. It is also really important to make sure your arms do not move when you are turning. You need to your shoulder muscles and back muscles to hold them into place. If your arms do move your abdomen will become uncentered and you will loose your balance. Another major part of doing pirouettes is keeping your focus. If you don't focus on what needs to be happening with your body it won't happen. It only takes one disengaged body part to throw off your whole turn. Lastly I've leaned that you need to make sure that you only push off the floor with as much power as you need; not to little but not to much. If you push off your foot with too much force the power will propel you forward instead of straight up and you will fall out of your turn.
This challenge has been difficult because all the components of turning are so important and it's very difficult to try to remember all of them WHILE turning. It has been really hard but I can't wait to present my project to the rest of the class.
